Question by : Grill over oven and broiler for chicken wings?
Putting chicken wings in the broiler after marinading it will take the tastes out right?

is grilling them worth standing in 18 degree weather?

  1. Bake them at 400 for 50-60 minutes until almost done turning once, then grill them for another 10-15 minutes to get the char flavor on them and crisp up the skin. That’s what I do, anyway.. If you only grill them to completion they tend to dry out..

  2. 18°! Wow. It’s supposed to get up to 70 here in S. FL.

I marinate mine in champagne or cheap white wine overnight then add some Woody’s Cookin’ Sauce and stir them up. I then put them on the charcoal grill with some hickory chips to make smoke. Grill them until they’re almost black then dump them into a bowl with Frank’s Red Hot sauce and butter. Excellent that way. You might need some soft dinner rolls to soak up the extra sauce.

I’ve made them when it was about 35° out, but I’m not sure I could handle 18.

  3. I would use a broiler to maintain flavor…
