FloatCloner floating hydroponic cloning system

www.floatcloner.com Why FloatCloner? The Answer is simple……..Literaly. Simple. FloatCloner has refined an ancient and proven method of cloning plants with only air bubbles and water. By simply adding an aquarium air pump to any bucket or reservoir, FloatCloners patent pending Float technology automatically generates the ideal “pocket” of moist air needed for young cuttings to root, thus eliminating the need for over priced elaborate “spray head” systems. Cuttings are safely held in place with any 2″inch reuseable foam collars. FloatCloner is a new revolution of cloning system that requires virtually no maintanence or experience to operate. – No spray heads to clog or clean. – No critical water levels to maintain. – No moisture domes or lids….ever. – No spray misting. – Less power consumption. – Expandable for bulk production. – Made in the USA. check out more pics and info at www.floatcloner.com

  2. Well it will work but it depends on the cuttings. some plants will propagate like this and others wont. But….. whu buy a floatcloner if you get the sane results if you put the cuts in a glass of water. The airpump is only necessary to oxygenete the water so the cuts wont rot, but changing the water in the glass every 2 days does the same trick. Just put some basil cutlings in a glass of water and wait 2 weeks. Propagating Hedera helix is foolishness, it will grow anywhere without help

  3. Actually float cloners do work…..actually I built one similar to the one in this video except instead of these “floatclone inserts” I just used a slab of neoprene bought at Home depot…..drilled 1 1/8 inch holes, inserted (Turbo Klone brand) neoprene collars and in the same amount of time it took for my ez-clone I had fat healthy roots. So to say it does not work after never trying is far fetched. It works for sure, something very similar called “bubble cloners” videos are on youtube. Search

  4. no it won’t, as you SHOULD be using chlorinated water to take successful cuttings.

  15. This is good. However, I suggest elliminating the plugs and, instead of one cutting/cell using a whole bunch of cuttings or mini or microcuttings, like in our case.

  17. wow.. I’ve been cloning this way for years mostly because I’m cheap. but this thing looks pretty cool and inexpensive. oh ya alittle tip, I wait a couple of days after I cut before using any kind of hormones like IBA and I like dip-n-grow.

  18. I would say 75-85 percent of the folks using our system dip the cuttings into rooting gels or powders, prior to inserting into FloatCloner. You do NOT need it though. FloatCloner will work without it. Pretreating cuttings mainly gets the process going a bit faster.
Thanks for your interest in FloatCloner!

  19. That sure looks like an interesting cloner. It really seems like it’s very easy to use. But would it be okay if I do not use any rooting gel on the cuttings and just simply let the cuttings be held by the reusable foam collars? Would the cuttings still take root easily? Thanks.
