  1. *Personal Branding*

Certainly appreciate following the likes of Guy Kawasaki, +Mike Elgan,
Chris Pirillo, etc, on G+ but, swear to god, every time I read about
someone referring to themselves as a ‘brand’ (or other people referring to
them as such), I just want to tip my hat to the folks at the Circle B
Ranch. Now, that’s a fucking *brand*.

Entertaining video with moments of comic relief but if you don’t want to
see nuts get cut off, don’t watch it. That’s…

  3. To the person who originally posted this video: Someone in this branding
parting is two-reining a mule and doing so quite beautifully, I might add!
What are the chances you could PM me and put me in touch with that person?
I’m looking to do the same thing, but no-one I know even knows how to
handle mules, let alone training them in this traditional manner. Any
advice or connections would be greatly appreciated!!

  4. This is what branding is all about. Family and friends getting work done,
and having fun. Few things we do differently up here, but I like it. Nice
    job

  7. Your animals all look happy/healthy. Do you castrate all males? Or leave
some to use to reproduce? If so, how do you choose which to keep in tact?
(I know nothing about “farm living” lol) And-I saw that the young ones have
the ear tags. Are those an effective way of keeping track of them? How come
you have to brand them too? Just wondering. =)

  9. It’d be nice if microchipping wasn’t so expensive. That could be a viable
    alternative to branding.

  13. @cheerfulchip197 You know, branding occurs for a reason. Especially in
places where there are a lot of cows, it’s important to know which are
yours in case they break out, mix with others, etc. It also prevents
against rustling. It isn’t just out of pure cruelty. Ranchers have to take
care of their cows well, have to. I hear what you are saying, but cows have
a pretty good lot in life. Ranchers have to take care of them, or they are
out of business. Branding is an exception to all of it.

  14. I’m sorry but I seriously can’t understand your comment.I’ll try decipher
it though.Animals feel pain like us humans. They are no
different.Considering those calves get branded above the right hind
leg,it’s pretty obvious that’s where the scorching pain is plus they were
castrated. And yes, branding would hurt an animal as much as branding a human
would.I don’t know what you mean by “lassoing”.But all you have to do is
watch the video and see that this is cruel.

that’s federal land, isn’t it, taken from the Native Americans? So, you are
making money off of all the people of the USofA. clap, clap, puke.

  20. I am proud to put grass-fed, home raised beef and pork on my family’s
table, and to raise my children on a farm, where they will learn hard work,
good values, and an appreciation for animals and nature. Animals are raised
for human consumption throughout the entire world. I’m sure the Amish, the
Lakota, the Navajo, and many other Native American, Asian, and African
communities that raise their own food, would love to hear your elitist
    judgements of their traditional ways.

  23. Uuuuu your an idiot, it hurts like heck some of the needed medical
procedures most of us go through but we know ts for our own good, these
cattle dont like shots anymore than my kid does but they need them. As for
branding try tatooing hundreds of cattle! not possible and if they are not
marked they get stolen, yes cattle thieves still exist except they ride in
18 wheelers, not pleasant I admit but neither is being shipped to a
    unregulated Mexican slaughterhouse. V
