  1. I process raw pack and add salt, a tiny amount of diced onion and instead
of water, I use hot chicken bouillon. My potatoes turn out very nice and
firm, very little cloudiness in the water. Plus the water can be used for
    gravy if you want.

  2. I just got done with 17 quarts of potatoes. I too par boiled them they
seemed cooked already. So I only pressured canned for 10 minutes. Next time
I will raw pack them! Cooking first makes them to soft. Thanks for your
    video.

  4. I made a few jars of the raw pack method that you suggested. I liked the
idea of having them on hand for a Sunday morning breakfast. Well, today
isn’t Sunday, (smile) but this morning I decided to make a rib sticking
breakfast with these potatoes, ham steak, eggs & muffins. Can I tell you
how awesome these potatoes were? I cut them up sautéed them in a little
butter, pepper, salt & a little paprika. Simple & delicious. Tomorrow, I
plan on canning up many more jars. 2 HUGE thumbs up!

  9. I wish I would have seen your video first. I only canned 7 quarts so I am

  11. Can you cold pack the potatoes with an old fashioned canner (not pressure
cooker) ? If so, how long do you boil them?

  13. When you raw packed them…. did you then pour hot water over them in the
jar? You didn’t mention any liquid for the raw pack….. but it looks like
    water in the jar. thanks
