I recently purchased quail and was keeping them in my backyard…. i was wondering i can get fined in CA, or if i need a permit? or is it perfectly fine?

  1. Im pretty sure that you would need a permit for quail but im not so sure.

  2. Your question is lacking to much info to even try to answer you. What kind of quail? What part of CA? Is you area zoned for farm animals? You should look up you city ordences it would be faster that getting answers here. I know many quail are native to CA and others, like button quail, are illegal to own at all. Check you local laws, we can’t help you with out a significant amount of personal info. Like where exactly are you haha.
