  1. Feed it KITTEN FOOD. Royal Canin Baby Cat is a decent option. You may also want to give it kitten formula… NOT cow’s milk, which can give it diarrhea. As far as the canned chicken goes…. read the ingredient list, if it includes garlic or onion, then no it’s not a good idea to give it to the kitten.

  2. Yes, canned chicken is fine. A cat can’t get worms from canned chicken.

  3. It should be fine to feed her chicken. they would eat meat in the wild, so it’s fine if she’ll eat it.
just to warn you, cats are lactose intolerant. what would be a better choice is to buy some kitten food which will have lots of nutrients.
    hope this helps.

  4. You shouldn’t be giving it whole milk at all and no, canned chicken alone will not be nutritionally adequate. If you don’t have the money or patience to properly care for the kitten, I’d surrender it to your local animal shelter.

Edit: Meow Mix is a low quality, crap food. You should consult a vet on the age of the kitten to determine whether it should be getting any KMR formula. If it’s old enough to be on food, you should be feeding a high quality wet/canned food. If that is not an option, please give this kitten to a shelter.

Examples of low quality foods to avoid: Anything you can find in a grocery store will be low end, Purina, Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet, Royal Canin, Whiskas, Fancy Feast, Friskies, Meow Mix.

Examples of high quality foods to look for: Innova, Wellness, Solid Gold, Felidae, Fromm Four Star, Merrick, GO Natural, Nature’s Variety Prairie, Nature’s Logic, Artemis Fresh Mix.

Two of the most affordable of the higher quality foods would be Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover’s Soul and Felidae.

  5. No cow milk – cats are lactose intolerant.

Cat food is more nutritionally complete and cheaper than canned chicken.

Canned chicken won’t hurt her in the short term, but she needs cat food for long term.

I know you mean well, but if you can’t afford to care for the kitten properly, including veterinary expenses, please surrender her to a shelter.

P.S. Almost all kittens have worms from nursing. You aren’t going to “give it” worms from canned chicken, but please be aware she is probably already infected with roundworm and that needs to be treated.
