Can I feed my ferret some chicken?

Question by e: Can I feed my ferret some chicken?
My mom bought some chicken at Costco today and I was wondering if I could give my ferret a little piece, maybe the size of a quarter or something.

The ingredients are: Whole chickens, water, seasoning (salt, sodium phosphate, modified food starch, potato dextrin, carrageenan, sugar, dextrose, and spice extratives)

I don’t think I’d be able to because the chicken has seasoning with it, but I was just wondering. Also, what are some human foods that a ferret could eat?

  2. I wouldn’t give your ferret any meat with seasonings on it. Just plain meat is good, they love that stuff. Anything like Chicken, Rabbit, Beef and even Pigeon etc. They also like eggs, just feed it them raw, I normally whisk it first.

Never feed your ferret chocolate, it’s poisonous to them, and no fruit or veg, as they can’t digest it and so it puts a strain on their digestive system.

Errm, but yeah.. human foods would be cooked meat or uncooked meat with no seasonings and stuff like that. I hope this helps, and have fun!

  3. You cant feed it since its seasoned. They can have unseasoned meat though. Any kind of meat. They can have raw or cooked meat. They can also have raw or cooked eggs.
