  1. Your cats will likely drink it, but its not a good idea. Cats do not have the proper enzymes to digest milk after a certain age (humans, being the weird creatures we are, are the only animals that continue drinking milk). So if your cat drinks milk it will likely get diarrhea.

  2. My cat gets small dollops of whipped cream as a treat every now and then (like after I clip his nails and he’s patient and doesn’t bite me), and I share some warm milk with him on occasion. It doesn’t bother him in the least. If your cat doesn’t get diahrrea from just the litte bit you gave him, he’s fine to have it. As a treat, it’s ok as long as it doesn’t upset his stomach. Each cat, like each person, has different tolerance levels.

  3. Soya is not good for them, in food or drink.
Goats milk, if they tolerate it, is fine.
Some cats can drink it, and be fine – most are lactose intolerant

  4. Goat’s milk does contain lactose as does the milk of every mammal including cats. Milks from various species generally contain about the same amount of lactose, around 4% (if I remember correctly).

All mammals including humans normally become lactose-intolerant once they finish nursing. Their bodies stop producing the enzyme lactase which splits the lactose molecule.

In case you are wondering why you can drink milk, it is because you are the descendant of people who were less lactose-intolerant and used the milk of their domesticated cattle, goats, sheep. Most human beings however get diarrhea from milk just as a cat usually does though.

Is is okay to give your cat goat’s milk? Or cow’s milk? Yes. But only if it is a very small amount such as a couple of teaspoonsful. Even then you should watch to make sure it does not upset his digestion. Many cats cannot even drink a little bit without diarrhea.

Soy milk does not contain any lactose but I wouldn’t give it to a cat because many are allergic to soy. Plus it often contains sweeteners or flavorings that aren’t good for cats. If it is only a sip it probably won’t hurt anything though.
