The day before Thanksgiving I got to visit with this sweet baby goat which belongs to my cousins’ granddaughters.

She’s so sweet — she follows behind people, springing along, stiff-legged. I just wish I had brought my camcorder with me that day.

  1. Whatever brand is available locally. You probably wont’ have much choice in the matter.

  2. You can find canned goat milk in many places but please try to find fresh. Here there are two “brands” but both come from the same dairy and are distributed by different firms.
It may be legal to buy straight from the farm in your state. If it is that may be the best way to find it.
Fluid milk at the grocery store sells for about $ 4 a quart. Off the farm you can find it from $ 4 to $ 20 per gallon.
In some states you can buy a “goat share” where you actually own a goat kept at someone else’s farm. The do all the care and milking and you get a share of the milk. In other places this is illegal.
